Fairview Texas Oakwood Estates

Oakwood Estates is a custom home development in Lovejoy Independent School District, located in the town of Fairview. Oakwood Estates is accessed from the north side of Stacy Road just east of Angel Parkway.
Once you commence your drive into this beautiful subdivision on Oakwood Trail, you will see luscious trees, beautiful landscaping and a variety of architecture. Breathtaking mansions on top of the hills of Oakwood Drive on the left and across the creek nestled in wooded lots on the right set the stage for what you will see if you turn up the hill on Oakhurst, Elk Ridge and Quail Rise. This neighborhood is highly restricted from agricultural animals, trailers, sheds and privacy fences.

Because of this, Oakwood Estates has attracted homeowners who want the space but also want to live in an exclusive neighborhood where homeowners continually improve their homes. As Fairview has become more popular, so has Oakwood Estates. In keeping with the City of Fairview requirements, every lot in the subdivision is at least the size of one acre. The homes are on lots with frontage averaging over 100 feet giving the homeowners the ability to construct homes with over 5000 feet and still have plenty of space between houses.

Can Oakwood Estates command prices over $1,000,000?

Recent sales since 2006 have demonstrated that buyers will pay over $1,000,000 for a home to live there. In 1998, the last lots in phase three were selling for $80,000. By 2004, the price of lots had doubled and now the remaining lots are gone with sale prices exceeding $250,000. Several pre-owned homes in Oakwood Estates have commanded a sales price in excess of $1,000,000. These sales have set the stage for other developments nearby to sell lots for $250,000 and up and to construct new homes that sell in a range between $1,200,000 and $1,700,000

Current Listings

Every Fourth of July, the residents of Oakwood Estates gather for a fun filled morning. A parade begins the day, in which the Fairview police officers drive through the neighborhood and children follow along on their decorated bicycles. The ending point of the parade is a barbeque set up in the neighborhood park. Hotdogs and soda refresh the parents as the kids cool off under a "waterfall" provided by the Fairview fire truck hoses. After a morning of excitement, the neighbors head their separate ways for the rest of their Independence Day.
